The shell is water-resistant 500D nylon with a stealth coating. It shrugs off brush and briars and, just as important, it doesn't crinkle or rustle when the temperature drops — the complaint that plagues cheaper muffs.
Fleece inside, hand-warmer pocket up front
A thick, soft fleece lining traps body heat, and there's room for one or more disposable or rechargeable hand warmers when the cold really sets in. Cord-lock wrist openings cinch down around bare hands or open up over gloves.
Rides at your waist, mounts to the harness
An adjustable belt fits a 26" to 51" waist over a parka or bibs. MOLLE on top lets you run it with the LT1 or LT2 bino harness, or mount it to a pack or plate carrier.

Warmth, noise, fit and mounting: what hunters ask about the hand muff.
Is the hand muff quiet enough for hunting?
Yes. The shell was redesigned around an ultra-quiet fabric that eliminates the crinkling of the original version, so you stay warm without giving away your position.
How warm is it, and can I use hand warmers with it?
A thick, soft fleece lining traps body heat. For extreme cold there's room for one or more disposable or rechargeable hand warmers inside, and the front zippered pocket is a good spot for a rechargeable warmer to radiate heat through the muff.
Do the wrist openings seal properly?
Yes. High-tension cord locks on the drawstring wrist openings hold their position once cinched, sealing out wind and keeping the warmth in.
What size waist does it fit?
The fully adjustable waist strap fits from a 26" to a 51" waist, comfortably over bulky winter clothing.
Can I attach it to my bino harness or other gear?
Yes. It mounts to most binocular harnesses including the Lone Trail LT1 and LT2, and the MOLLE webbing on top attaches to any compatible pack or plate carrier.
What fits in the front pocket?
A large smartphone, keys, a wallet, hunting tags or small essentials — and it's an ideal spot for a rechargeable or disposable hand warmer.
Will it fit with or without gloves?
Both. Loosen the cord locks for bulky gloves or mittens, or cinch them tight around bare hands or thin liners. The interior has plenty of room.
