Price
The FOB Complete System is $185. The LT2 is $75 and ships with a rangefinder pouch. That is not a small gap, and by their own customers' account the price stings.
Bulk under a pack
A long Rokslide thread documents pack straps landing on harness buckles and raised edges digging into the chest, including a return over pack incompatibility.
Sizing
The FOB is roof-prism only, and some rangefinding binoculars do not fit. 7 inch binos are tight in the Standard and need break-in.
Upgrade resistance
Pro-M owners openly resist the roughly $60 step up to the FOB, which tells you what the market thinks the increment is worth.
Buy the FHF Gear if
You want the most refined build in the category and the price is not the deciding factor, or you need the pluckable foam insert to dial in an unusual pair of binoculars. The FOB is a very good harness. It is also nearly three times the LT2.
The price question, plainly
The LT2 is $75 and ships with a removable magnetic rangefinder pouch already on it. FHF Gear is $185 before any accessories.
We are not claiming to be a different category of product. Same job, comparable materials at 500D Cordura with reinforced stitching, and a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. The difference is that you are not paying for a brand name.

Common questions
Is the LT2 as durable as the FHF Gear?
It is built from tear-resistant 500D Cordura with reinforced stitching and tough plastic hardware, and it is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. We are comfortable putting it next to anything in this table on materials.
What is StealthStalk?
The fabric covering the LT2's Cordura shell. It dampens the noise a harness makes when it rubs against brush and cover, which is where a lot of harnesses give you away in cold, dry conditions.
Do I get a rangefinder pouch?
Yes, on both the LT1 and the LT2. It is removable and magnetic. If you run an oversized rangefinder or want a second one on the other side, the Universal Rangefinder Pouch is $15.
What if it does not fit my binoculars?
The compartment is 6" wide by 7.1" tall and covers 8x32 through 10x42 plus most 12x50. If yours do not fit, returns are free for 30 days.
