The three real differences
StealthStalk fabric
The LT2's Cordura shell is covered in StealthStalk, which dampens the noise the harness makes against brush. This is the reason to spend the extra $10 if you hunt timber or close on animals inside a hundred yards.
Upgraded magnets
Both open one-handed and both are quiet. The LT2's are stronger, which matters most when you are crawling or scrambling and want the lid to stay shut.
Three more pockets
The LT2 adds a front pouch, an interior pocket and an extra side pocket. The LT1 counters with a removable utility side pouch in the box.
Buy the LT1 if
You mostly glass open country, you are not routinely closing to bow range through dry timber, or $65 is the number that gets you out of a neck strap this season.
It is the same 500D Cordura platform, the same compartment size, the same MOLLE layout and the same lifetime warranty. It ships with both a rangefinder pouch and a utility side pouch. Nothing about it is a stripped-down product.
Buy the LT2 if
You hunt timber, you bowhunt, or you have ever been busted at close range by your own gear. StealthStalk exists for that ten seconds.
Also buy it if you carry more than binoculars and a rangefinder. The front pouch, interior pocket and extra side pocket add up faster than the spec sheet makes them sound.
Questions
Is $10 really the whole difference?
In price, yes. In use, the difference is fabric noise and storage. If neither matters for how you hunt, the LT1 is the better value and we will happily sell you one.
Do they take the same accessories?
Yes. Both carry MOLLE on the bottom and both sides, so the $15 Universal Rangefinder Pouch, the $15 Bear Spray Holster and the $15 Bottom Pouch fit either one.
Do both include a rangefinder pouch?
Yes. Both ship with a removable magnetic rangefinder pouch. The LT1 also includes a removable utility side pouch.
Same warranty?
Same. Lifetime against manufacturing defects, plus 30 days of free returns on unused gear.
Still not sure? Start with the LT1
Free returns for 30 days on unused gear. If you decide you want the quieter fabric, send it back and switch.
