Cold hands end hunts early. Not because you are in danger, but because you stop being able to work a release, a bolt, or a call, and the sit stops being worth it.
Why we built the Insulated Hunting Hand Muff the way we did
There is a point on a late-season sit where your hands stop being useful. You can still see the field. You just cannot do anything about it.
Gloves are the obvious answer and the wrong one, because the pair warm enough to sit in is too bulky to shoot in, so you end up taking them off at the worst moment.
A muff solves it differently. Bare hands go into thick fleece at your waist and stay there, so they are warm and ready without anything between your fingers and the trigger.
The shell on ours was redesigned around an ultra-quiet fabric that eliminates the crinkling of the original version, and the cord-lock wrists hold their position once you cinch them, which is what actually keeps the wind out.

Is it quiet enough for hunting?
Yes. The shell was redesigned around an ultra-quiet fabric that eliminates the crinkling of the original version, so you stay warm without giving away your position.
Can I use hand warmers with it?
Yes. A thick fleece lining traps body heat, and for extreme cold there is room for one or more disposable or rechargeable warmers inside. The front zippered pocket is a good spot for a rechargeable warmer to radiate heat through the muff.
What waist size does it fit?
The fully adjustable waist strap fits from a 26" to a 51" waist, comfortably over bulky winter clothing.
