A bino harness for bow hunting that stays out of your string

Bowhunting puts two demands on a chest harness that rifle hunting does not: it cannot foul your draw, and it cannot make a sound at twenty yards.

What this hunt asks of a harness

The lid opens away from you

Both Lone Trail lids flip away from your body, which keeps them clear of your string path and your line of sight. Harnesses that open inward are a known problem for archers.

Silence at bow range

At twenty yards there is no margin. The LT2 uses StealthStalk fabric over 500D Cordura to dampen brush noise, and upgraded quiet magnets instead of a zipper or Velcro.

One-handed, at full alert

Magnets open with one hand so you can get on an animal without putting your bow down or making a second sound.

A low, tight profile

Padded, quick-adjust straps hold the pack against your chest rather than letting it swing, which is what puts a harness into a string in the first place.

How it works in the field

  1. Sit or still-huntThe harness rides tight and quiet. Nothing swings, nothing crinkles.
  2. SpotOne hand on the lid, magnets release, glass comes up. Your bow stays in the other hand.
  3. RangeThe removable magnetic rangefinder pouch is on the harness already, not in a pocket.
  4. DrawLid closed and flush, clear of your string path.

Questions we get

Will it interfere with my draw?

The lids flip away from your body rather than toward it, and the padded straps hold the pack tight to your chest. Fit it snug and it stays out of your string path.

Is it quiet enough for twenty-yard encounters?

The LT2 is the one to run for that. Its StealthStalk fabric is built to dampen the noise a harness makes against brush, and the magnets open without the buzz of a zipper or the rip of Velcro.

Where does my rangefinder go?

Both harnesses ship with a removable magnetic rangefinder pouch. If you run an oversized unit, the $15 Universal Rangefinder Pouch mounts to the MOLLE on either side.

One more thing worth adding

Running a big rangefinder or want one on each side? The Universal Rangefinder Pouch is $15 and mounts to the MOLLE on the sides and bottom of either harness.
