How the LT1 costs $65
The LT1 was not designed by taking a premium harness and deleting the expensive parts. It was designed around proven materials, a simple SKU, standard attachment hardware and a complete core kit.
Where the savings come from on our side: one color, one adjustable size, no proprietary accessory system to design and stock, direct-to-consumer only, and a small marketing budget. We do not know Eberlestock's cost structure and do not guess at it here.
Weight and bulk
The LT1 is 0.84 lb with a 3" deep case, pouches excluded. Eberlestock does not publish a weight on the Recon product page we checked, so we do not compare the two numbers. The point of this section is simpler: the LT1's lower price is not achieved by turning it into a flimsy minimalist strap. It is a fully enclosed chest pack.

Durable, Lightweight, and Great Design
I have ran several bino harnesses in past hunting years & seasons, and the Lone Trail chest pack has quickly become my favorite. It's light weight, but also durable. They did not cut corners on quality, and it has everything a deer hunter needs in regards to design. ...
Awesome Bino Harness
This harness was pretty amazing. Wore it in a 7 day elk hunt. They were super comfortable. Big pockets for binoculars that fit my 10x42 Nikons with someSpare room. Side pockets fit my rangefinder easily.Going to by a set for my brother for Christmas!

Solid
Good quality. I just got done crawling through some of Colorados roughest terrain for a week while wearing this. It’s held up strong. I like the magnets instead of buttons or Velcro.
Fit
Eberlestock offers the Recon in Small and Large bino packs, with a published fit chart on their site. The LT1 comes in one size: bino compartment 6" wide by 7.1" tall, which covers compact 8x32s through full-size 10x42s and most 12x50s. Measure your glass closed before choosing either.

The removable pouch fits most compact rangefinders up to 3.3" wide by 4.1" tall, behind a magnetic lid. Larger unit? Add the $15 Universal Rangefinder Pouch, which stretches to fit, or run it on the other side.
The straps adjust to fit hunters from roughly 80 to 400 lb, over a light shirt or a heavy hunting jacket.

Eberlestock publishes a lifetime warranty on the Recon. Lone Trail publishes a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects plus 30-day free returns. The terms are not word-for-word the same; read each: Eberlestock and Lone Trail.
30-day free returns. Try it on at home. If it is not right, send it back within 30 days in like-new condition and we pay the return shipping.
Lifetime warranty. Every Lone Trail product is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If a seam, buckle, magnet or zipper fails because of how it was made, send us a photo and we ship a replacement, or refund you if we cannot replace it.
