Universal Rangefinder Pouch | Why It Is Built This Way | Lone Trail

From the field

A rangefinder in your pocket is a rangefinder you will not use on a moving animal.

A rangefinder in your pocket is a rangefinder you will not use on a moving animal. The whole value of the unit is how fast it gets to your eye.

$15Universal Rangefinder Pouch

Why we built the Universal Rangefinder Pouch the way we did

The gap between seeing an animal and knowing the range is where most shot opportunities are lost, and it is almost always a carry problem rather than an optics problem.

This pouch has no lid. Elastic sides hold the unit, so you pull it out and drop it back in with one hand, silently, without looking down.

It mounts with dual snap straps to the MOLLE on the sides and bottom of the LT1 and LT2, to any standard MOLLE or PALS webbing, or to a belt or pack strap. It is not locked to our harnesses.

The padded body takes the bumps and brush so the unit does not. At $15 it is a fraction of what the premium brands charge for the same job.

Questions hunters ask us

What rangefinders fit?

Most compact rangefinders. The elastic sides stretch to hold the unit snug. If you run an oversized unit and it does not fit, returns are free.

How does it close, and is it quiet?

There is no lid. The elastic sides hold the rangefinder in place, so you pull it out and drop it back in with one hand, silently.

Will it mount to my harness?

Yes. Dual snap straps attach to the MOLLE on the sides and bottom of the LT1 and LT2, and to any standard MOLLE or PALS webbing. You can also run it on a belt or pack strap.
