LT1 Bino Harness | Why It Is Built This Way | Lone Trail

From the field

A binocular harness has one job: hold good glass tight to your chest, keep it quiet, and get it to your eyes fast.

A binocular harness has one job: hold good glass tight to your chest, keep it quiet, and get it to your eyes fast. Most of the ones that do that well cost well over a hundred dollars, and most of them still make you buy the rangefinder pouch separately.

$65LT1 Bino Harness

Why we built the LT1 Bino Harness the way we did

The neck strap that came with your binoculars is the reason they are swinging into your sternum on every step down a ridge, and the reason you stop noticing they are there until you need them.

A chest harness fixes the swing. The LT1 spreads the weight across your shoulders and chest on padded, adjustable straps, so a full day of glassing does not end with your neck aching.

The part that matters on an actual hunt is the lid. Silent magnets hold it closed and release with one hand, so you go from walking to glassing without a zipper buzz or the rip of Velcro.

It ships with the removable magnetic rangefinder pouch and a removable utility side pouch already on it. That is the difference between a $65 harness and a $65 harness plus $40 of pouches before it does what you bought it for.

Questions hunters ask us

Will my binoculars fit?

The compartment is 6" wide by 7.1" tall, which fits most standard and full-size hunting and birding binoculars, from compact 8x32s through full-size 10x42s and most 12x50s. If yours do not fit, returns are free.

What comes in the box?

The LT1 harness with chest pack, a removable magnetic rangefinder pouch, a removable utility side pouch, and MOLLE webbing on the bottom and both sides. It works with your existing binocular straps, and tether anchors are built in.

Is it comfortable for a full day?

Breathable padding spreads the weight across your shoulders and chest, so there is no neck strain on long sits, and the adjustable straps let you dial in the fit anywhere from roughly 80 to 400 lb.
