What folks are saying about Lone Trail
Questions From the Field, Answered.
From sizing and fabric to gear setup, here’s what hunters ask most before taking our game bags into the field.
Will these actually fit an elk hindquarter?
Yes, they are 48 inches deep.
Do these smell like a chemical plant out of the box?
No. That's a real problem with a lot of bags and we knew it going in. These don't have that smell.
What's included with my purchase?
Four 48" quarter bags and a 28" smaller bag for tenderloins, trim, whatever's left. Plus a carrying case. Full animal, one pack.
What is your warranty and return policy?
We stand behind our products with a Lifetime Warranty. If your game bags have any manufacturing defects or quality issues, we'll repair or replace it - no matter how long you've owned it. Additionally, we offer free returns if you don't the bags - for any reason. We're confident in the gear we make and want you to be completely confident in your purchase.
Can I reuse these or are they a one-and-done thing?
Throw them in the washing machine and they come out fine. Been using the same set for multiple seasons - that's the whole point.
What's the reflective strip actually for?
You're packing out at 5am or after dark more often than not. The strip catches a headlamp beam so you're visible. Small thing that matters when it matters.
I hunt whitetail not elk - are these way too big for deer?
They fit deer perfectly fine. The elk sizing is just the ceiling. 48" for quarters, 28" for smaller cuts. Works for anything you're dragging out of the woods.
How small do these pack down - I'm going backcountry on foot?
Rolls up tight, fits in your pack no problem. They come pre-rolled out of the box. Not something you'll notice carrying in.
What fabric is it made from?
40D Nylon. The whole job of a game bag is cooling meat. A thick canvas bag that traps heat and moisture is working against you the second the animal hits the ground. Breathable mesh lets air move through - that's what keeps meat from souring before you get it out.
How does my purchase support veterans?
We're proud to support those who served. At the end of year, Lone Trail will donate 5% of all profits to Fallen Patriots, a 501(c)3 organization that provides college scholarships to children of fallen service members. Every game bag you purchase directly contributes to this mission. The more we sell, the more we give back to military families who have sacrificed for our country.
